I deal with environmental issues and have an awesome opportunity that everyone should mark their calenders for! The turn out should be greater than 15,000 people!
POWERSHIFT '09 Febuary 27, 2009-March 2, 2009.

This is a weekend long conference dealing with a HUGE variety of environmental issues in the US and worldwide. The weekend will have many keynote speakers, hopefully some famous faces, and some great music!
It is soo important that multitudes of people attend this conference and participate in the action. The time to act is now, yesterday even. We need to take a firm stance against polluting the planet further and the only way to do that, is to actually stand against it!
I ask you all to join me and be a part of this! I am 20 years old, I am making a difference already. So can you!

I hope this post finds everyone in good times and spirits. I know everything is a little rough right now, but that is even more reason why we need to band together!

....Anyhow I guess I want to open this up to people's thoughts on Non-violent direct action and civil disobedience and where you see its role in the current progressive/environmental movement. I realize everyone is not going to see it as the way to go, and I would like to hear from those as well so I can better understand.
